Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day! It was a great weekend. We actually got to spend time with each other as a family for a few days instead of just being with each other on Sundays. Today we decided to go on a walk in Naperville (quaint little downtown area with shops and what-not) Lea knows, and when we got there we discovered there was going to be a parade and we were just in time. Well, Soph didn't have a bottle packed because we thought we were just going on a walk. Soph's nap time was vastly approaching as well, but we thought- aw well- lets do this! FAM TIME! so needless to say the parade didn't start for another hour. We found a prime spot but then I had to pee so we had to ditch it. Finally, we shimmied our way in between 2 families, right next to the big garbage can in front of the Einstein Bagels. I guess you could say we were being tacky budinskies, but that's what happens when you have a kid in a stroller that is hungry and tired. It's do-or-die, baby. Soph started getting hungry right before the parade started, so Derek, being the good dad he is, sprinted to Wallgreens a few blacks away to get formula. He got the canned stuff so we wouldn't have to mix it, but PRINCESS SOPHIA doesn't like luke warm milk, it has to be precisely warm enough for her highness. So after all the hubbub she tried the vile juice only to snub it within an instant. Thanks dad. So about 10 minutes into the parade it was over for her, She had it. So we decided to venture back to the car. But lets not forget we were in the middle of a parade. There were people everywhere, blocking the roads 5 rows thick, so we decided to just walk with the parade to try and find a spot to escape the tubas and gongs. about half a mile down the road we decided to forget about being "nice" and we bah-ha'd over some people and got the heck out of there!!!!
I hope you all had a great weekend :) We missed you!

Sounds like the normal Huff kid event. Jayson went river rafting- it was pouring cats and dogs when he left and they were hoping it would let up but it didn't. Jayson said that they were just a bunch of dump ice cubes floating down the river. He is insane. christy
